As the event is held on a greenfield site there will be areas of the event that may have hilly sections and uneven ground, meaning that access around that site could be difficult, especially in bad weather conditions. The arena is not flat and has some sloping fields. Although we do have track and pathways around large parts of the site it can become difficult. Please bare this in mind when booking for the event and be prepared!

Reminisce provide a number of facilities around the site to accommodate disabled customer’s needs. Not all disabled customers need use of these facilities, but we will provide access to whatever is needed and/or a free PA/companion ticket where required to ensure your day is comfortable and most of all enjoyable.

We offer a personal assistance scheme which enables those coming to Reminisce Festival in need of assistance to claim a ticket for a personal assistant at no charge. This is eligible to customers who meet the criteria below and purchase a ticket at full value if they would be unable to attend an event without the active support of another person. We will send your confirmation by email once your application has been approved.

Disabled access tickets and/or facilities are for festival goers with permanent disabilities, so broken legs, recent injuries or pregnant customers do not qualify. Here is a bit of information to make your event more enjoyable: We always advise customers to bring their maternity card or similar with them and on arrival to make themselves familiar with the first aid/welfare points. Where possible we advise customers to stay out of the main crowded areas. On arrival and when departing, please stay to the side or maybe arrive and leave a little later to avoid the main egress.

By Car

The routes to Reminisce will be clearly signposted to help avoid traffic snarl ups and ensure everyone gets maximum time at the festival and minimum time on the motorway! If you follow the dedicated signs to the festival they will direct you to the car park at Lea Green station. There are disabled spaces available here.

By Train

The nearest train stations to the event are Lea Green and St Helens Central.

All customers enter the event through the main entrance.

Viewing platform

There is a viewing platform available for wheelchair users in the main arena. Viewing platform is for our Disabled Access Customers with mobility issues, wheelchair users, and those unable to stand for long periods and people who struggle with being in crowds. Our platform has wheelchair accessible ramps.

There are male and female accessible toilets with attendants located around the site. The locations of the toilets will be clearly visible with signage around the festival site.

Electrical Charging Facility

A power point can be made available for customers who may need to charge their electrical wheelchair or scooter.

Customers with Hearing Impairments

We regret that there is no induction loop facility at this event.

Strobe Lighting

You are advised that flicker, laser, strobe and other lighting effects will be used during some performances.

Medication

If you need to bring medication with you, we recommend bringing a doctor’s note or a prescription for it if it is not easily recognizable.

Please don’t be offended if security question the medication you are bringing into the Festival, it is there job to ensure the safety and security of all customers. Medical and welfare facilities are available to everyone at the Festival. There will be signed First Aid points located across the festival site.

Crowd Management Personnel are clearly identifiable by their HI VIS tabards/shirts. They are all issued with a staff handbook so should be able to answer most questions. They are briefed on all aspects of the event and can assist and give information. In the instance of a site evacuation please ensure that your PA is aware that they are your main point of assistance in an emergency evacuation. Crowd management personnel located near the viewing platform will assist in moving everybody to a place of safety.

We want you to enjoy every aspect of Reminisce, listen to your favourite music and see your favourite acts. The crowds can get very busy so make sure you get your bearings. Try and find your own space, be considerate to other people. If you start to feel anxious or the crowd is growing quickly, take your time and try to make your way to space.
